Do you ever wonder what everything is really made of—at the most basic level? I do. But let's be real—I'm a designer, not a physicist. I need someone to break it down for me. Enter string theory.
String theory proposes that all of the ingredients of nature are composed of extremely tiny strings of energy. The vibration of these strings are thought to underlie everything that happens in the entire universe. Theoretical physicist, Brian Greene makes the concept relatively easy to digest in this short video. Using his explanation, I created a motion graphics piece illustrating how string theory is believed to work.
