Adobe Creative Jam

Creative Jam is a two-part creative experience thrown by Adobe. Established local designers and artists share their processes and projects with the audience, while teams simultaneously compete in a tournament that puts their creative skills to the test using Adobe Creative Cloud.

My teammate, Nagini Reddy, and I competed against students from Portland State University, Oregon State University, Western Oregon University, and the Pacific Northwest College of Art in the visual design portion of the competition. Each Creative Jam has a theme which is announced three hours before each team's work is revealed and judged live on stage by the audience and selected judges from the creative community.

In the end, Nagini and I won the People's Choice Award for best visual design.

The Final Piece

The Final Piece

Working with the theme of "human," Nagini and I created a type driven poster with the phrase SUI GENERISmeaning "of his, her, its, or their own kind/unique." We paired the type with a print of my thumb that we vectorized in the allotted three hours we had to complete the piece.

We felt that the use of the fingerprint was the best representation of SUI GENERIS to our own individual entities as unique humans.
